Nanny Saves Child from Coyote
This past weekend, a coyote attacked a child who was playing in a sandbox and tried to carry the 2-year-old away in its mouth. The incident happened in Chino Hills, CA when the child was spending time with her nanny, and the nanny’s quick actions may have saved the girl’s life.
On Friday morning, a little girl was playing in a sandbox at Altura Park while her nanny was in charge. Around 10:30am, the nanny heard screams and looked up to see a coyote with the child in its mouth.
The nanny rushed over and grabbed the little girl, pulling her out of the coyote’s grip. The coyote ran off into a nearby bush and the child was treated for multiple bite wounds (and given the rabies vaccine, of course). She’s doing just fine.
But how was the coyote able to sneak up on the child without the nanny noticing? Even if she took her eyes off the child for a second, that still shouldn’t be enough time for a coyote to come into the area, target the child and try to carry her off. Or was it?
Guess it doesn’t matter — we’re just thankful that this story didn’t have a tragic ending! And it’s a reminder to all of us just how careful we should be.

to sunnygirl1255: what kind of chores could the nanny have been doing for the parents at a PARK? c’mon. that is not a logical excuse.. just Thank God the baby is alive!

I can’t believe it. How somebody can leave 2 year old baby outside!!! There is no excuse! She can thank to God, that is baby alive.

I agree w u MNnanny. We are human too, What if it was only a few sec?? Or it could have been a neglectful nanny?? I guess we will never know! Thk God the little girls okay

I am mother of child and babysitter. Ofcourse you can’t see everything. And axidents happends. But you can’t leave that little child outside alone!!!!!!!!!!That’s it.

I would have kicked that coyote’s butt! Stomp on him and kill it! No one messes with my babies!
