 Background ChecksSittercity.com has added an exciting new feature that has been a big hit with both parents and sitters: background checks! Background checks let sitters run a check on themselves and add the report to their profile page, all while giving them the ability to only share their check with those people they want to see it. It also allows parents run checks on prospective sitters to give them peace of mind before connecting with a new sitter. We're really excited about this new functionality, and based on the number of reports that have been run, you're excited too! |

How Many Families have you met from Sittercity? I've met five families, and currently babysit for three.
Hours worked per week? About 5 right now, but will go up to 15 after the new year.
Why babysitting? I have been babysitting since age 11, and have loved it just as long... I love interacting with children of all ages.
What is your favorite activity to do with kids? Make up games and go for walks.
Quick snack I make for kids is ... cheese and crackers.
Funniest thing a child has said to me ... ME: "Why are you laughing?" CHILD: "I'm laughing because these pickles have eyes!"
Sittercity is ... to me, one of the best things I've found while living in Chicago because it has allowed me to continue to do something I love, and to help out and be a part of other families while I'm away from the families I babysit at home.

World's Largest Playgroup
BabyTalk's November 29th World's Largest Playgroup event in New York City at the JCC on the Upper West Side in Manhattan was a huge hit! The Sittercity Team provided a free stroller valet service for hundreds of parents. For those that are not familiar with it, the World's Largest Playgroup is an event put on by our friends at BabyTalk Magazine that features complimentary music classes, live entertainment, exciting activities, free product samples and demonstrations and more! There were hundreds of parents and children that took advantage of the event and we had a great time meeting and talking to almost every last one of them, all while parking their strollers and handing out sippy cups!
