It's May, which means that summer is here! Like many parents, you may be losing your regular sitter to the "summer shuffle," where she leaves school and heads home for a few months. If you're about to start looking for a summer sitter, use these quick tips to stay on top of your game.

  1. Post your job NOW -- don't wait.
  2. Ask about sitters' vacation schedules upfront.
  3. Consider a "vacation pay" stipend for when you go out of town.
  4. Write out all of the kids' schedules, activities, camp times, etc.
  5. Plan for fun by giving the sitter money for special outings.

May 13 Webcast: The ABCs of DHA
