I've always loved kids. At age 12 I got my first job as a mother's helper for a pair of twin boys with Autism and ADHD. I found it to be very rewarding and I liked developing a bond with the boys and their Mom. I helped her with nightly activities (dinnertime, bathtime, bedtime). I also worked as a camp counselor for 2 summers and often babysat for various neighbors around town.

I come from a large family, and have 8 neices and nephews. I became an aunt at age 11, and being surrounded by babies and young children all my life, I have always taken on the role of "older sister" very easily.

In college, I worked part time as a Nanny for 2 girls, aged 6 and 8. I picked them up from school, helped them with homework and piano, drove them to after-school activities, fed them dinner, and put to them to bed. Over my time there I became very close with the family- not only the girls' parents, but their grandparents, pets, etc.

I finished college in June 2009 and had to say goodbye to them. I recently moved to Miami, where my husband is attending University of Miami law school. My goal is to become a Clinical Psychologist and work with adolescents. I plan to apply to graduate schools in Psychology next year, but until then, am working full-time as a research assistant at FIU, and am looking for part-time work as a nanny/babysitter. I'd like to work weeknights and/or weekends; my schedule may be flexible beyond those hours as well.
