Marjorie M. - Los Angeles Babysitter

Marjorie is heaven sent! My husband and I were had our apprehensions since this was the first time we got somebody to look after our 17 month old daughter. Being a stay at home mom, it was particularly difficult for me to imagine leaving my daughter with a person she didn't know. But marjorie is just great with her! She has limitless energy, my baby is always in stitches laughing and running around playing games. Marjorie also proved to be highly dependable - she has initiative, gets stuff ready when she's going to take the baby out for a stroll, checks on her medication before I leave (my baby has asthma), follows instructions well. We recommend Marjorie as a sitter or nanny. Marjorie is truly the best sitter we found in the LA area for our daughter, who she cared for regularly from the age of 6 to 13 months when we lived there. Marjorie is wonderful with babies and toddlers and very responsible. Her experience was demonstrated again and again in her patience, gentle care, ability to connect with our baby and understand her personality and last, but not least, her tireless effort and creativity in tending and playing. We were also impressed with Marjorie's reliability and initiative, she would find things if needed while we were out (finding the diaper supply in the drawer if the changing table supply was running low, locating a hat or sun screen for an outing if we forgot to leave one out, etc.). She even was happy to use cloth diapers, typically not something we asked babysitters to try. We would have loved to been able to hire her full time as a nanny when I returned to full time work, but we moved ended up moving away. -- Zack B.
