Bio
William Stafford once wrote, "Children: they dance before they learn there is anything that isn't music." I feel this is why all my past work experience has been with children. I have worked with children ranging from 3-weeks-old to 14-years-old. I have experience with children who have ADD, Aspergers, Autism, and PDD. I have worked at a number of different types of programs such as in a Montessori classroom, a Bilinguel after-school program, and a camp for children with social/emotional problems. I like doing hands-on activities such as cooking, going to a museum, or just taking a walk to collect different kinds of leaves. However, I like to find out what the child is most interested in and really let that be the direction we go in. I am very enthusiastic, creative, and caring. I do set limits but I tend to have a sense of humor about things. I am looking for a job that is T accessible. I live off of the green (C and D) lines but I do venture out to the other lines as well. I have had a range of babysitting jobs including being a Nanny for two families full-time. The first with 3 boys (ages 2,4,&6). The second family has a 6-year-old girl. I traveled with the second family to London twice. I have also worked at a non-profit organization that provides free educational programs that empower low-income families. I was the Director of the After-School Program and the Assistant to the Executive Director. I am currently working at The Children's Center at Ropes & Gray as an Infant and Toddler teacher. I hope to hear from you soon!
