**I AM CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR TUESDAY OR WEDNESDAY SUMMER HOURS*
My rates start at $15 per hour (non-negotiable) for childcare and I have a 3 hour booking minimum and 5 hour booking maximum at this time.
For the health and well-being of my current families and myself I can NOT care for sick children.
I currently work for 2 families in Hinsdale. I have been employed by these families for the past 2 years.
My childcare style reflects my personality; I am a kid at heart and I am extremely active as well as creative. I am a stickler for (age appropriate) manners and I am schedule and routine based. My current, local, and STRONG childcare references (my currently employers) speak for themselves.
I do not smoke, I have a great work ethic, a clean driving record, and a fully insured 2005 Volvo XC70. I am completey open to a background check; after all these are your children!
I am 25 years old and I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in art in May of 2006. While earning my degree I completed both early childhood development and psychology courses. I have been working as a full-time nanny and free lance artist since I received my degree. I have worked as a swim instructor for ages 3-5 and I am a former collegiate athlete (in addition I grew up playing soccer, softball, tennis, basketball, and ice hockey).
I am married and I am currently CPR certified (until Feb 2009). I was born and raised on the East Coast. My Father is a dentist, my Mother is an RN, and my older sister is an ESL teacher. I come from a family that values honesty, respect, education, hard work, and each other. I LOVE dogs. My family has a black lab and an Alaskan malamute so the bigger the better! Unfortunately I am allergic to cats and would not be able to take a position for a family that has one (or more) as a pet.
I enjoy taking walks to parks, running around, going down slides, singing (off key), dancing (about as well as my singing), and being creative in the kitchen (baking cookies/decorating cakes) and on paper/driveways (finger painting/chalk).
I have A LOT of infant experience; I was previously a full-time nanny for a little boy. I began watching him when he was 3 months old and stopped caring for him when he was almost 16 months old. I worked 12 hour days, attended gymboree and music together classes, taught him basic baby sign language, and even took him to the doctor's office.
I take great pride in everything that I do. I am passionate about children and life in general. I am fortunate that I am able to work with children. Kids have a certain zest for life and I find it refreshing to spend time with them (especially in a world that can often be so hectic). I also am grateful for all of the experience that I gain now in hopes that it will in turn make me a better future mother.
I am a hardworking, honest, respectful person, with great communication skills and I am look for the same in my employers.
My Husband is currently a full-time student year-round working on his doctrine and certifcation in chiropractic neurology. We will be residing in Illinois until he graduates in April of 2010. At that point we will be relocating back to the East Coast (our home). Please contact me in regards to my professional resume.
It is my policy to only give out references after I have met for an in person interview and I have decided that your family and I would work well together. This is out of respect of their privacy.
If duties other then childcare are expected of me they are to be discussed in the initial interview. Childcare is my main priority but additional household duties can be completed for an additional fee.
