I am available for events and overnights and even daytime positions through the holiday season.  I am not looking for a permanent, daily position, but instead would like to add a family or two or three to my clientale list.  I am usually available last minute or you can plans weeks in advance.

Please note that my 7 month old daugher accompanies me everywhere I go, day or night. My three year old son comes with me to most daytime positions and rarely to the evenings.  I will provide references who can tell you how well this has worked for them.

I am a 29 year old mother of a delightful 3 year old and new baby. We all love to be with other people and learning new things all the time. I do sign fluent American Sign Language as well as Exact English (SEE I and SEE II). I have more than 13 years of paid experience in working with children from birth to high school. I have experience with a wide variety of special needs (down syndrome, autism, asperger's, Deafness, Blind, deaf/blind). I am not afraid to get dirty or look silly to have some fun with the kids.

Church nurseries, Vacation Bible School, Sunday school, Child development centers, Special Olympics, Field Trips with charges and private homes. These are all places that I have interacted with children. My favorites are the mixed ages, because the younger ones keep the older ones thinking and using their imaginations, while the older ones challenge the motor and verbal skills of the younger ones! What a wonderful combination!! I love sensory activities, arts and crafts, playing outside, and board games. The kids I have now would tell you that I make the best homemade hot chocolate and popcorn, and never lack for something fun to do!

Don't want your child(ren) sitting in front of the TV all day? No problem! I love to interact and be creative with the kids instead of watching television all day long...

I am available on an as needed basis. Need a date night? Looking for someone to run those crazy errands you never have time for? Grocery shopping and errand running are my specialty! My general philosophy is to make the parents' lives as simple as possible when returning home, so that they can spend time with their children. I am very good at this and still attending to the children, playing games and giggling! I do not leave a home unless it is cleaner than when I arrived. You shouldn't have to spend your valuable time at home doing menial tasks. That is your precious time with your children.

A note about the pics: The older children in the pictures are my most recent charges. I have been with this family for 3 years (some fulltime, some parttime). The baby girl in the pictures is my daughter, while the little boy (some baby pics) is my son! The handsome man accompanying the child is my husband Zeb.
