Megan-Ashley M. - Cranston Babysitter

Greetings!

I'm a 24 yr old, laid back, pre med/psychology major.  I like to think I am not your 'run of the mill' babysitter who watches tv, talks on the tele, or surfs the Internet. :)  I am a Rhode Island native, and just recently moved back from Colorado to finish my degree.I have extensive knowledge on the topics of growth, development, and psychology of infants though adolescents.  I also have knowledge on behavior modification and programs.  I fully understand the basics of infant and adult CPR and first aid.  I come from a family that is heavily involved in the medical field, however, I have not renewed my certification.  If this is an issue, it can be done.  I can guarantee you that I will take the time to engage your child in an activity and make learning and play fun..even if they are newborns!  Any of my references can back me up 150% that I will spoil your child(ren) with much attention and love.Ideally, I'd like to care for a newborn or young infant as I am an aspiring NP (nurse practitioner) in the fields of neonatology, pediatrics, midwifery, or OB/GYN.  However, I am experienced in and love caring for all ages.Lastly, I must say, I do not enjoy staying in the house.  I enjoy being active and taking walks. I love stimulating places such as the beach, zoo, mall, park, restaurant etc. no matter how old the children may be.  For a young infant or child who is sitting in a carriage and getting strolled though the mall, or sitting at a table at the restaurant, or in a grocery cart at the market, the mental stimulation is enormous.  This leads to well rounded, socially adjusted children. I also must say I am developing a small photography business, so I do take A LOT of pictures!  Mom and Dad, be ready for scrapbooks!If I seem like a great match for your family, please don't hesitate to drop me a line.  I am very open to questions about anything, so please ask away!  :)  As for rates, I am pretty negotiable.  Normally, there are in the range of $11.00-$18.00/ hour, depending on the number of children and amount of care required.  However, I will work with you.Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this!  I look forward to hearing from you soon!Megan
