Bio
I am a professional Nanny and Childcare provider in Metro Atlanta, and student at Kennesaw State University; currently studying Early Childhood Education. I will complete my degree December 2009. I would love to go back to school to get my Masters Education. I am also the founder of North Atlanta Nanny Association(NANA), which is a support group for Nannies, Au pairs, Mother's Helpers, and other types of Childcare providers.
I have had the opportunity to work in a private day care facility, Primrose School of Wade Green and Georgia State University's Young Scholar and Leader Program. At Primrose, I worked with infants, younger toddlers, and preschool children. Some of my responsibilities included but were not limited to, leading small and large group activities, helping with lunches and snacks, and implementing appropriate activities. At Georgia State, I teach gifted students math. I understand, solve and increase the output of my student or learner. I am an instructor who carefully examines a child's problem and provides him adequate solutions to overcome his or her situation. I believe I am warm, have a generous… in nature, and a great sense of humor. I listen and understands students. Both experiences have provided me with extensive exposure to the implementation of developmentally appropriate activities and materials for all children.
I also work as a nanny (for three families now, one which I have been with for almost two years) some of my job duties include, working as a partner with parents to help raise children to be responsible, competent young men and women. I teach age-appropriate activities and generally help children to acquire the skills they will need later in life. I am the child's friend, understand them, respect their feelings, love and comfort them, and is someone for the child to look up to.
As the oldest of five children I have had a lot of responsibility. I love to learn, and also love to teach. I enjoy playing outdoors, going for walks, exercising, eating healthy, painting, all of which I would be happy to do with your child(en), as appropriate. Most of all, I love to read, and find this is one of the most important parts of growing up. I have been baby-sitting since I was 13 and would be happy to provide recommendations. I sincerely enjoy spending time with children. I am quite easy to get along with as well. I have worked with a wide age range of kids, from newborns to young adults, and find each group has its own special qualities.

From Aug 11- Nov 25, I will be in Costa Rica finishing my BA and hopefully starting my MEd. I am very excited about this opportunity, but will not be available until after November 25th. I would love to work for a family upon returning. Thank you!
