Bio
Hi everybody! My names Kimberly (or Kim if you prefer). I'm 21 years old, live in Vancouver, and am currently working on finishing up my 2 year degree at Clark College. Once I'm done I plan on transfering to WSU Vancouver where I'll major in psychology, and hope to eventually become a child psychologist.
Those who know me best would describe me as outgoing, dedicated, sensitive and trustworthy. I'm also very patient and have excellent leadership skills (I participated in ASB during high school and was also our varsity cheerleading captain).
I started babysitting when I was 14 and have met some AMAZING families. My experiance consists of working with children as young as 8 months and as old as 12 years, but I'm definatley open to caring for newborns and young teens as well. I gained alot of experiance while I was an advanced student at the Academy of Ballet Arts (ABA) in Vancouver. I instructed 2 different twice weekly dance classes for kids ages 3-7 as well as a stretching and strengthening ballet warm-up class for kids ages 8-12. I worked there for 2 years and LOVED it, the only reason I quit is because I stopped studying ballet and had a very intense school and cheerleading schedule. Finally, one of the most rewarding and educational experiances of my life comes from working as a tutor at Prairie Preschool throughout my whole senior year. I helped supervise and play with all the children, but spent one hour every weekday as a personal tutor for an amazing 5 year old special needs girl named Hailey. I learned so much doing this and truly enjoyed it at the same time.
My other employment history includes waitressing and working in a clothing store. I've also volunteered my time at multiple senior living centers and the humane society, as well as many various commuinity outreach events hosted by my church's youth group.
I doubt you all want to read a novel about my life so I'll try and wrap it up. Basically.. I love kids, love all pets too!, I'm very reliable and honest, non-smoker, family oriented, friendly, first aid/CPR certified, and completed a 1 credit Early Childhood Education course at Clark College. I don't mind cooking and cleaning, and I'm definatley not the kind of nanny that relies solely on the TV to keep your kids entertained. I have a clean driving record and a reliable 2002 Honda Civic and would be happy to provide your kids transportation to school/activities and any outings you think they might enjoy.
Thanks for reading and I hope to hear from you soon!
