Bio
Hello! My name is Sarah and I am nineteen years old. I am an honors Nursing Student and plan on becoming a Nurse Practitioner with a focus in pediatric oncology. I am CPR certified. My schedule during the school year is a bit hectic, though I am free in the evenings and on the weekends for the much desired (and sometimes needed!) mommy and/or daddy night out!
I began babysitting eight years ago at the age of eleven and have since gained experience with all ages. I have cared for two sets of newborn twins (from six days after birth) and their older siblings along with several families with children from birth until twelve years of age. I worked full time in a daycare for the past summer and LOVED it!
I am an active member of my church where I volunteer as a Eucharistic Minister and as a teacher for the Children's Liturgy. I also volunteered at a preschool and at an after school program for underprivileged kids. In the past I have volunteered as a tutor in my high school and travelled to Guatemala for a service project.
As a babysitter, I value interaction with children. I enjoy thinking of games and activities that encourage interaction both among siblings (if applicable) as well as with myself. I recognize and thoroughly enjoy the typically messy lives of children and the parents' strive for cleanliness. This means that I am not afraid of mud, fingerpaint, play-doh, and baking, and will always clean up after any activity I engage in with the children.
My references are available upon request simply because I would like to respect the privacy of the families I have cared for in the past. However, please do not hesitate to ask!
I hope I can meet you and your children soon! I look forward to all of the memories we may create together. :)
