Bio
I have been taking care of children for (literally) half my life and I wouldn't have it any other way! I love being with kids, organizing activites for us to do, and just having fun! I'm very honest, organized, reliable, and I get along with parents great!
I would like to consider myself very creative, modern, and loving. I'm a big fan of the wonderful city we live by, and would love to use its possibilities if possible. I love teaching new things to children and encouraging them to grow, and express themselves in new ways. I love seeing their faces when they hand you the new art project we did for the day, or when they can tell you their (new-learned) address.
I've been asked this a lot lately, so I thought I'd just put this on my profile. My favorite age of children, the age I would say I'm best at watching, is around the toddler-age. But again, I love working with children of ANY age!
I am free Sunday mornings if a child needs to stay overnight, etc but only if I get permission from the parents to take the child to church with me in the morning from 10:45am until noon. My church has an excellent Sunday School called Adventureland for children 6th grade and younger. I teach the 5th and 6th grade girls, but I am on very good terms with all the other teachers who are also very trustworthy.
I have no problem with also doing a lot of your housecleaning, grocery shopping, or other errands that are needed to be done.
*Also, about the review from Angela left below:
I interviewed for a job with Angela and her family, and was told that they had 2 cats. I am very allergic to cats, but loved the family, so I told them we could try on a trial-basis. My start date was set for a little under two weeks later, on a Monday. That weekend she called me while I was in church and was unable to answer. Afterwards, I came home to a voicemail from my husband who is working in Texas. Something serious had come up, and I had to fly out and be with him through an issue. This is the only time something like this has EVER happened, but I felt like it needed to be done. I felt awful, and I told Angela to please call me because I didn't want to disturb her night. I knew the child would be in safe hands, since her husband works at home and has been taking care of the child thus far. I e-mailed Angela and let her know that I would not be fulfill the job she needed. It was across the river, and I wouldn't be able to fight traffic and be in home for my flight. Instead of calling me and discussing things with me, she felt it necessary to leave me the review below. I can give you a list of 10 other references that are for other mothers I have worked for that will tell you nothing less than I am honest, reliable, organized, and fun! This instance was definitely a one-time thing.
