I've been babysitting since I was 12, I'm 26, going on 27 now. I'm the oldest of 12 grandchildren, just on one side of my family. My parents were also foster parents for 2+ years while I was young. I have experience with kids of all ages, from infants to high school kids. In high school, and for a semester in college, I taught swimming lessons at the local YMCAs. I was a summer lifeguard for 4+ summers as well. I have a degree in art studio, so I have no problem keeping kids busy with lots of fun projects. The family I currently work for are expecting a baby in the fall and will only need me part-time starting in September. So I am looking for something to make up for my lost income. Something on a part time basis, and my current schedule is very flexible, so I would be able to start something part-time this summer that will carry into the fall and winter months.
