Bio
i have a bachelor of science degree in chem eng'g.changed my career in 1999 when the company moved to china.started working as nanny parttime till 2003 when i met this great family with 11 weeks old boy.he is 5 1/2 yrs. old now. they adopted a girl from china last year. she is turning 2 in oct.i taught most of the kids that i cared for their first abc's and counting numbers and recognize colors and shapes.i am so in to educating kids and i love it when they first learn it from me.i have 2 grown up kids, oldest is a registered nurse at university of chicago hospital and the youngest is a junior at american university in d.c. she graduated high school from francis w. parker.my number one goal is education both mykids and the kids that i take care.i help mom to potty train and the transition of sleeping from their crib to their bed.i discipline kids by talking to them. i seldom do timeout i believe that kids are very smart that they understand if you will explain to them the problem and talk about it.i always stress the value of education, kindness, politeness, cleanliness, respect and love to others.i teach them how to share on their "mine, mine" stage.raising kids is a great challenge, i love challenges. i communicate well with the parents on their kids daily activities.parents trust me when it comes to their kids because they can see that i treat them like my own.i am a very responsible person and good in making rational decision.i am very focus specially when i have the kids because i dont want any accident (even minor cuts, bruises, booboos). i dont believe in letting them use a pacifieror binky, i'd rather see them suck their thumb only when they go night night and stop them when turn 3.i also help in their transition from milk bottle to sippy cup(1 yr. old)and from formula milk to regular milk.i stay overnight when asked to (out of town or country) because i am a single mom. i love pets.i work nights and week end too when asked.i have no problem with my schedule. the family is my priority. if other family ask me to takecare of their kids (normally on nights and weekends) i make sure there is no conflict with my regular family.if there is i always ask my daughter who is a nurse or my other daughter when she is in town to take care of the other family.i am very close with my kids. we are best friends.i have clean driving record, own a newer suv and can drive the kids to all their activities.i am a u.s. citizen and prefer to pay taxes(my current family pay my taxes) i am from the philippines love sports specially the "cubbies" well i am from the northside i live on this side of the city since i moved here 28 yrs ago i also love the bears and the bulls(when they are winning).i have good references. the mom of my current family lost her job that is the reason why i am in the market of finding a new one.i have been with them for 5 1/2 years(since may 2003) and felt so bad that i am leaving them. i will surely miss the kids specially the boy and i know it will be hard for him too. i am physically fit because i love working out. i go to the gym 6x a week plus different working out videos at home.i am very health conscious read the nutritional fact label before i buy something.judging myself: i am honest and trustworthy. the previous families can verify that.i seldom call in sick. i have 5 sick call a year, within that 5 yrs i think i only use 2 or 3.i still come to work even if i dont feel good because my concern is i dont want the parents to have problem with their job.they have to send me home when i am not feeling good. i dont call sick.please ask my references about the facts of my bio.
