Bio
**** Right now I am attending college in Richmond, Virginia. However, I'll be home in fairfax for winter break (december 15th-january 12th) and for summer break (may-august). I am MORE than happy to set up future babysitting dates during the holiday break or summer time. Please feel free to read the rest of my profile and to email me with any questions or concerns! ****
When I am home, I live in Fairfax, Virginia and have been living there my entire eighteen years of life. Up until a week before I left for school, I worked part time for an animal hospital as a vet assistant, graduated from Falls Church High School in June 2009, and am now a full time freshman at Virginia Commonwealth University (majoring in Psychology with a pre-vet advising track.). As an older sister to three sisters and an older cousin to two toddlers, I've constantly been around little ones all my life becoming a natural babysitter/mommy's helper. Outside of home, in high school, I coached a youth field hockey league for young girls. This year, in Richmond, I am doing volunteer hours at the local middle school to counsel and spend one on one time with children who have emotional disorders or come from troubled homes. I love enteracting with children and being a mentor for them. I've babysat for a child as young as two-years-old and as old as eleven. I do not mind multiple kids; the more, the merrier! Pets are not a problem also- like I said, I was a vet assistant and I am also a certified vet assistant and certified in Pet First Aid. During the school year, if I am babysitting, it's always homework first. I like to go over the homework (as much of a pain it may be to the child!) and make sure they understand it. I belive it's very vital to start teaching the importance of education to children at a young age, which is how my mom raised me (she's a teacher herself!). However, after the work is over, something fun will always be planned whether it can be a sport lesson, a board game, or a movie night. Please feel free to email me with any questions, concerns, or to set up a babysitting interview/date!
