Here is a small snap shot of my work: I am college educated and have worked in the education field with kids and their families for more than 17 years. Among other Nanny jobs that I have held, I have worked for one family, part time for 10 years! Over the years, these kids came to appreciate my sense of humor! I am willing to problem solve anything and to resolve issues so that we can all prosper through the seasons. I have worked in schools with preschoolers as well as grade school kids and middle school students. I have done work as a Doula, a birth assistant, supporting families in the postpartum time. This gives me experience with infants like no other job can. Parents like what I do with kids as I develop curriculum that is age and level appropriate for their children. I am not one for turning the TV on and dulling everyone to death. There is too much fun to have in learning and creating and building and dismantiling things. Being responsive to kids comes naturally to me. I am responsive to newborns and infants as well with language/communication and music. Kids love me as I am honest with them and they come to count on me and trust me for meeting their needs when Mom and Dad aren't available. They tend to value my no nonse perspective that affords everyone a voice. Parents can trust me to follow through, be honest and to take repsoncibility. Parents appreciate my commitment to the home and family. I prefer working with individual families as opposed to working in a bureaucracy as I have an opportunity to enjoy what I do most directly with the needs of one family at a time. Art, reading, exploring the world around us, good, healthy snacks and meals with love some me up in a nut shell. I have a few hobbies: I crochet! Aside from crocheting for friends and family, I also crochet for Charity by making hats for Austin Hospice.
