Hello Potential Family,
I am 24 year old non-smoker who lives in Malden, has my own reliable vehicle and the oldest of 4 children (my experience does not only reflect that). I have been baby-sitting for other families for over 10 years for children from infants to 13 yrs. old. Most recent I have baby-sat for 2 families in Winchester each with 3 children, one for 4 years and the other for 3 years (this was on a part-time(15 hrs/week) and somewhat full-time (30+ hrs/week) and I also have done overnights for both numerous times. I like to have a relationship with each family, not the "this is my job and I have to go to it every day" thought. These 2 families became and extention to my own, sometimes I would bring the children to my house, my family met both families many times. ( I understand you are looking for in home care, just wanted to show you the relationship I have with the families). I still keep in touch with them and occasionally sit for them. Activities (besides the normal playing in the backyard/house) I would do with them: library, playing with dolls/action heroes/cars, sports, playground, circus', aquarium, zoo, pool, movies, baking, ice cream/lunch outings(not all the time), movies, reading to them, teaching ABC's/123's and various other items, helping with homework, walks, arts and crafts, playdates, driving to activities and staying to watch or whatever the parents had lined up, ie, birthday party at the house. With both families I had the freedom to take them and do things with them, they just trusted me to go and do things with the children even if I didn't get a chance to run it by them first (Again just showing the relationship we had). I also would do the grocery shopping for parents and other errands from time to time. I was also a substitute teacher for a few months in the Malden Public Schools and worked with an English as a Second Language Program as a child care provider and helped with other tasks as needed. I am also Child and Infant CPR and First Aid Certified. I love working with children. I like to see how they and help them progress as they get older from the early stages of "talking", crawling, to forming words, walking, running, etc. I liked being a Substitute teacher, but I like working and becoming friends with the children with more interaction with smaller groups than 30 to 1 in a classroom setting. My rate is negotiable based on the job/hours and the right family, so please don't be turned away!! :) Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile if you think we might be a good fit please contact me and I will send you my resume and great references!
