My name is Amanda Lynn. I grew up in the Tampa area, until moving to West Palm Beach for college. I grew up with 5 siblings, 4 of them younger. Even at a young age, my mom called me the "mother" of the family because I took such interest in caring for my younger siblings.  I can still say that the thing I love to do most is work with children! My life's dream is to work in an orphanage overseas.

I have a great deal of experience working with children of all ages! I have had numerous babysitting jobs since my teen years. I was a nanny for my infant nephew throughout my senior year of high school. I also worked with inner-city kids at Urban Youth Impact (a non-profit org) for 6 years.  While there, I was a mentor, tutor, summer camp leader, Bible study leader, etc. I have experience working with kids who are well-behaved, as well as those who have proved very difficult. I have learned how to be firm with children, but always in a loving & respectful manner.

I am a Christian; therefore believe with all my heart that God has placed special value in each person - and each child's - life. I enjoy spending time with kids and helping them grow in all aspects of life.  This means I will not simply watch tv with your children. Some activities I enjoy doing with children include: reading, writing stories, arts & crafts, playing games & puzzles, and outside play. I also enjoy helping children with homework and other academic activities.

I recently moved back to the area and am looking to work here for the next year or so.  I am interested in working full-time or part-time doing something I really love until I can obtain a position in an orphanage overseas.
