Carmen began working for my wife and me full time in June of 1991 when my daughter was three months old.
She continued to work for us until about two years ago.
During that time she was the nanny for our daughter and our son who was born in October 1993
Carmen was wonderful with the children from their infancy to my daughter's teen years.
Carmen is dependable, honest, and intelligent. If she had to take a day off she always arranged alternate help. She owns her own car, has it insured and is a safe and reliable driver. She is an American citizen. She speaks Englisk^nd understands it better than she speaks it. Needless to say she is fluent and literate in Spanish.
Carmen also performed light housekeeping for us and would run errands including taking our children to the dentist and doctor, driving and picking them up from their schools, and picking up dry cleaning, groceries and take-out food.

Carmen Chacone has been employed as "nanny" to our two young children from October 2007 to the present. The children, Carlos and Bella, were 23 months old and 11 months old when Carmen started with us. The children now attend "pre-school" enough hours that we are unable to keep Carmen full time.
Carmen monitored the children carefully. They were never out of her presence. She was kind and loving to them and extremely patient. Carmen was never cross or upset with the children's ill behavior, but corrected them when they were unruly with a kind firmness. Carmen played attentively with the children and seemed inexhaustible in dealing with the mundane chores of caring for young children.
Carmen drove the children to school and took them on trips to the mall for shopping fun. She treated the kids to a popsicle or ice cream and made the treats special occasions. She followed them on walks and bike rides to visit neighbors and friends and arranged frequent visits to the park for play.
Carmen took it upon herself to do laundry when the children soiled their bed clothing and she picked up after the children and kept the house clean and presentable. Carmen was always punctual and reliable in coming to work. Carmen was available virtually at any hours needed, and she was willing to be flexible in her schedule to suit our schedule.
Our children were always happy to see Carmen and never fretted when we left them alone with her. They showed Carmen affection due a very loving relative or parent.
