Babysitter and Nanny - MONIQUE D. (User #8713)

Dear Parents:  

 As a professional childcare provider, I have 18 years of experience working with children of all ages and abilities.  My versatility and adaptability have allowed me the opportunity to mesh my education, experience, and talents to suit each family’s children and individual needs.  My experience focuses on children 0 – 2 years of age – their abilities are blossoming at an exponential rate and I find that the most benefit can be bestowed upon them through parental input and my techniques, which are based on Montessori and Magda Gerber.  My personal drive to better the coming generations has also extended my knowledge through work with multiples, special needs children, and teens.  Over the years, I have accumulated a book of pictures and recommendation letters from families, former teachers, the US military, and the FBI that I enjoy sharing and expanding with each family. 

I earned my first bachelors degree, in infant and toddler care, in 1994 and my second, in psychology, in 2001.  Although I have been working as an executive assistant during the day for the past 12 years while still providing childcare, I am now available for childcare 24/7 – weekdays, weekends, holidays, sick child care, as well as for overnights and night nanny services.  I am actively seeing families who want regularly scheduled care, but I also have the flexibility to accept occasional, on-call, and emergency requests.  I am looking to build my clientele with families who need a bit of assistance in meeting the demands of childrearing while still maintaining the active role of the primary care giver.  Ultimately, you are the parent, but I could be your greatest resource. 

Please note that I am in the process of opening my own family childcare facility in Ingleside Terrace as well, so your child(ren) could easily transfer from care in your home to care in my home.
